'Everything happens for a reason'
Ivy comes to us from our friends in the UK at Amaqqut Alaskan Malamutes. Ivy (formerly Miss Red) has always looked
like her Great Auntie Bella, more than any other malamute I'd ever seen. I had watched her with great interest even after
she'd gone to her home. A couple months passed. In that time we lost Bella and circumstances changed in Ivy's home and
she came back to her breeder. The wheels started turning.
Me: "Hmmmmm."
Joan: "That's not why I am telling you. You don't have to take her."
Me: "I know. Hmmmm...."
About 6 weeks later she joined our pack and made her debut at the 2012 AMCA National and Regional Specialty week.
Thanks to Joan and Jeff Sheehan for the opportunity! She's had some fun "firsts" for a UK bred Malamute competing in the US and now enjoys retirement in our home.

She also was 3rd place in her very competitive weight class at the AMCA Regional and National weight pulls.
October 2016 ~ AMCA Regional/National in Colorado Springs, CO. She was 2nd place in the large Open bitch class for the Regional under breeder judge Cheryl Paterson. She WON her weight class (61-80#) for the Regional specialty weight pull. She pulled 30.89 times her body weight. In the National pull, she was 2nd in that weight class but took home a Brockway trophy because she earned Top Body Percentage pulled at 32.94 times her body weight.
