We occasionally have puppies available.
Since I search extensively for just the right pairing and my girls have "other lives" outside of having puppies, we may or may not have annual breedings
Litter announcements will be posted on this page only. Puppies are NOT placed on a first come first served basis, puppies go only to approved homes and they are placed based upon what you plan to do with them (showing, working, performance events, companion). It would not make sense to put a higher drive dog into a home who doesn't plan to work them, nor would it make sense to put a pretty mellow dog into a home where the people want to participate in dog sports.
~ NEW REQUIREMENT FOR OWNERS ~
As a part of our commitment to the health and future of the Alaskan Malamute, -ALL- puppies will be DNA swabbed prior to leaving and the swabs will be banked with OFA. To complete the DNA banking however, at 6mos/1 year I will **REQUIRE** all puppies have blood drawn for sending to the OFA DNA bank. While we hope all of our puppies will be healthy forever, should something crop up we can then let OFA know and that puppy's sample along with related dogs can be sent to researchers to help with ongoing health research. Researchers also need samples from healthy dogs so it is imperative we have full cooperation. Details will come in puppy packets. Exceptions are for our overseas pups as shipping the samples can be cost prohibitive. We do recommend participation if there is something similar in your country.
We breed to the AKC standard and in accordance with the AMCA code of ethics. Our dogs are typically between 60 and 110lbs, between 23 and 26 inches at the shoulder, a very natural range. We breed for a well rounded dog, one who is at home in the show ring, the harness, and anywhere else he/she goes. We do not breed for color, enormous size, or any other single trait.
While we encourage forever homes, if any of our puppy people are unable to keep their dog, we care about what happens to our dogs and will always take our dogs back!
Interested in getting into showing dogs, working, or performance? We LOVE those homes and are absolutely willing to work with the right people.
International folks: Due to some issues in sending dogs overseas, we will require references, preferably mutual friends, before we consider sending a dog. People we already know well AND have spent time with in person need not provide references.
ADDITIONALLY: We require the puppy to travel accompanied overseas. We will NOT work with any shippers. Ever. Puppies must leave before 7 months of age, no exceptions.
