Whelping box
We occasionally have puppies available.

Since I search
extensively for just the right pairing and am very concerned about not over-using my girls so we may or may not have
annual breedings.   Breeding announcements will be posted on this page as soon as a decision is made.  I do however keep a waiting list of
interested people, in the event of a breeding people on the list will be contacted.  Puppies are not placed on a first come first served basis,
puppies go only to approved homes and they are placed based upon what you plan to do with them (showing, working, performance
events, companion).

To our international friends:
We will ship to show, performance, or working homes we know or those with excellent references only.

We breed to the AKC standard and in accordance with the AMCA code of ethics.  Our dogs are between 60 and 95lbs, between 23 and 26
inches at the shoulder, a very natural range.  We breed for a well rounded dog, one who is at home in the show ring, the harness, and
anywhere else he/she goes.  I tend to only have spring litters because I want to swim train them before they go to new homes and because
our fall schedule does not always allow us to devote the time it takes to raise a litter properly.

Please visit our friends, if we don't have the right dog for you, they might!

While we encourage forever homes, if any of our puppy people are unable to keep their dog, we care about what happens to our dogs
and will always take our dogs back!

A little about our puppy rearing:

--We raw feed all of our dogs--new puppy people are not expected to raw feed even though it is encouraged.--

--Pups going to kibble homes will be introduced to kibble before they leave here.--

--When possible, puppies are swim trained and harness broke before they go to new homes.  Potty training is started.--

--The pups are raised in the house and when they are 5 weeks old they are slowly introduced into the pack where they learn some manners.--

--They are dewormed at 6-7 weeks, vaccinated at 8 weeks, and microchipped before they go to new homes.  --

--We take them to other people's houses for socialization and introduce them to kids, old folks, and the noise and rush of dog shows.--

---
Puppies do NOT leave until at least 8 weeks of age. ---

--Included in the purchase price:  We individually register all puppies ourselves and transfer the papers over to the new owners.  As part of our
commitment to our puppies and their welfare, we register each puppy's microchip with the AKC's Companion Animal Recovery (CAR) program,
which is a lifetime membership.  Should they ever be lost they could easily be reunited with either us or their owner.--

--Whenever possible a puppy will also receive a puppy harness --

IMPORTANT

Over 160 Alaskan Malamutes were seized from a kennel in Montana in October, 2011.  Among them were many puppies and
approximately 20 pregnant females. When all is said and done the numbers will likely be well over 200.  The owner currently
faces several felony charges for cruelty as well as drug charges related to the over 200 marijuana plants found growing on the
property.

For people interested purely in pet puppies, young adults, or maybe even an adult/senior we strongly encourage you to contact
our national breed rescue.  The Alaskan Malamute Assistance League (AMAL) is in constant communication with the Lewis &
Clark Humane Society, the kind folks who have been caring for the dogs since the bust. On November 23rd there was a hearing
to help determine the fate of the dogs so stay tuned for more information. The defendant has agreed to place some of the dogs
with the assistance of Alaskan Malamute Assistance League (the national rescue organization) so stay tuned, transporters may be
bringing some to a malamute rescue near you.  The Alaskan Malamute Club of America and the Alaskan Malamute Assistance
League are working together to mobilize should the dogs be released.  There are breeders volunteering to transport large
numbers of the dogs so please do not be turned off by their distant location.

Please check out AMAL's website for more information.
