| "Everything Happens For a Reason" When we decided to add a third dog we put a deposit down with Nancy Russell at Storm Kloud. We wanted a show quality male because we had no intention of breeding and we just wanted to get into showing. The time came, the litter arrived: 1 male, and he was black and white. Nancy thought it was unfair to send me, a novice, into a ring 'in the land of the grey and white open face' with a black and white dog. It would be VERY hard to win. Instead I was offered pick bitch out of the litter who was the cutest grey and white open face. By 6 months of age she was leading our three dog team. She proved to be an excellent working dog and weight puller her first season out. My "show dog" never ended up actually liking the show ring....and in some respects neither did we. Nancy was going to be retiring from breeding and leaving the area and we feared the line might die off so we dug in, started learning everything we could about bloodlines and breeding and in 2005 we had our first litter. "They follow in her paw prints" Bella's been a fun working dog and now she passes that onto her children. As of November 2011, her kids have earned 7 agility titles, 3 rally, 4 CGC, 17 AMCA working titles (at least one in each area of certification), 7 Working Dog Advanced titles, and 6 AMCA working excellence titles with 2 more on the way. In her first litter she earned the AMCA's new Register of Merit Working Dog (ROMWD) title! In her second litter she earned the AMCA's new Register of Merit Working Dog Excellent (ROMWDX) title!
